Golf Course meeting?
Any word on how the golf course meeting on Thursday went?
The golf owner had a good dog & poney show and was not very convincing. The Action Committee did very well in their presentation and the crowd, while one sided, was polite with the guests and listened very carefully. Good questions were asked and some answers were at best frivolous. In a nutshell it is evident that the golf owner is ready to say whatever you want to hear to get your approval. The Grossman hope to make money ( big money )with a housing development in spite of the fact that they knew when they bought it that it was to remain a golf course ad vitam eternam(Latin ). They are obviously of bad faith since the beginning, but as he said yesterday they are just trying to make a living for their family. A lot of other chapters remains to be written before this saga is over. let's hope that we will still be able to swing a golf club when the whole thing is resolve.Andre
I bailed out of the meeting after an hour of presentations that were basically identical to previous. there was a little more emphasis on security by the Waldmans. Applause for the good old days of Red Buttons and the idyllic advertising of the early village. I do not think there are any 'Grossmans' involved Andre. The family that owns the golf course is Waldman, as in Visions Construction Corp. Deerfield Beach.
Unless Donald Trump donates a splinter of his fortune to transform Turtle Bay back into a golf course, I would like to suggest that Hastings get a Wii setup with a golf game. I am not pulling your leg: Doctors have testified that Wii exercise games are truly therapeutic.
