Even though we have not tried to become active participants in the political aspects of the upcoming election (we both work full time and have little time to be active), my wife and I have discussed many times over the last three years our disappointment with the huge waste of money in how the transporation system is handled and utilized (we have lots of good ideas if you are interested, Dave), the transponder process (it took me two years to get a transponder because of UCO's inflexibilty), the lack of professionalism and extremely rude treatment displayed by both paid and unpaid members and employees of UCO when applying for investigations, requesting a transponders, or other requests for assistance, like helping victims of contractor abuses (again, we have ideas on how to stop the unprofessionalism, Dave) use of VOIP telehones to call guests into the gate, and ultimately the disinterest in bringing UCO into the 21st Century. To hear Dave echo our sentiments exactly was sweet music to our ears. These concerns and issues have been raised many times in the past but never seemed to be addressed. UCO has been an embarrassment. We now have an opportunity to change UCO to become more proactive in responding to the needs of the Associations in a more professional manner. Dave's ideas will ultimately bring costs down, increase the productivity of UCO, and improve the quality of life for all villagers.
Can you imagine Peter Amato or Dan Gladstone leading UCO into the 21st Century? I think we saw Peter Amato's great oratory and leadership skills during his performance at the last Delegates' meeting. Thanks, but no thanks. That would be like jumping from the pan into the fire.
Gladstone - need I say more. Here's Gladstone's leadership style - lead the owners and presidents to the edge of the pier, step aside and allow his friends and business partners (alledged) to push them off the edge, then decry, "What? Victims? Drowned victims? I don't know anything about drowned victims>?!?!" Then only to stand before them later to declare, "Everything I have been accused of, I take full responsibilty for! I pull down my pants for you all!" What-is-up-with-that! I guess he thinks if we all take turns with a paddle to swat his rear end, to punish him like a schoolboy, the mess will all go away and we'll all be happy again... In other words, completely destroy the system, then take responsibility for all of the damage by saying "sorry", once all of his personal goals are realized. Again, I say, thanks, but no thanks.
Dave, we like your ideas. There's no question as to who we will vote for next month.
The last UCO election left many in shock and very troubled to find out GL was going to be our President again. We were not wrong.....GL ruled UCO into the ground and I refuse to believe that he had no idea as to how Dan Gladstone was handling the Unit Owners of CV.
Now we can change how UCO will be run. There is no person living in CV who can handle the position of PRESIDENT OF UCO BETTER THAN DAVID ISRAEL.
Dave Israel has my vote. He is a very, very good and honest man and exactly what this village needs. He has much integrity, wonderful common sense and truly, truly cares about you and me. Oh people please - think, look, listen. VOTE FOR DAVE ISRAEL!!! We need him.
About time!
