unconfuse me re cable box
re info about Jan roll out cable boxes----are these to replace the boxes we had installed last go around or additional boxes for second televisions (that we had expected last jan) ---thank you
Hi Mag,
ReplyDeleteThese are the long promised DTA boxes. They are for a second and third TV.
They do not replace your Set Top Converter on your primary TV.

Dave,
ReplyDeleteI am a snowbird. Is it true that you will need to have the new cable box reactivated if it goes unused for over 3 months?
Hi ejs2283,
ReplyDeleteNovember 4, 2010 3:48 AM,
Sometimes, because of power outages, a box may lose synchronization with the Comcast network.
The first step to try is to unplug the box and count to 20 and plug it back in.
Give the box a few minutes to reboot, if it fails, then call
Comcast for a special signal to be sent to resync. the box.
They may ask for the numbers on the back of the box, so write these down just in case.
