Welcome Back
Mr & Mrs Sandhill Crane and little Dune. Hanging out in Canterbury shade. They want you to know they are omnivorous.
I love these sand crane birds. The first time my husband saw one, he was sitting on the patio and turned around and it was looking straight into his face around a foot away. My husband named him Harvey. Occasionally, Harvey would come and show off his wing span and stand on one leg. They are so beautiful to look at. Im am glad they are back.
I saw them this afternoon while helping somebody at Canterbury K. Neat!
