Ready for Remove and Replace (R&R)
The above tree is not going to fall down in hurricane. Time for R&R. C'mon you know who you are. That goes for many other dead trees in the Village as well.
Can you killjoys and blind to art staring you in the face not see the ballerina with outstretched arms in this tree? Why, it is magnificent! She is surely dancing the part of Eurydice, wife of Orpheus, holding the Earth Tree in one hand.
You are not even close, Clearly, this represents the Earth Mother Gaia who is seen half-risen, unable to completely separate herself from her element. This tree shows the moment of the parthenogenesis resulting from her marriage to the Sea (Pontus), the Mountains (Ourea), and the Sky (Ouranus).
As you are, of course aware, she Then mated with her son Uranus giving birth to the 12 Titans, and three Hecatonchires, each having 50 heads and 100 arms. This tree captures the moment of birth of but one of these!!
Omigosh, I am only now getting the full thrust (excuse the expression) of Randall's planetary remark! It wasn't just the multiplicity..................
Carve it into a likeness of Usain Bolt and paint it gold.
ReplyDeleteIf they are dead they should be removed, even if we cannot afford to replace them. It does not look like nice art work.

This should now be obvious to you?

Hi David,
ReplyDeleteThe birth of twelve Titans from Uranus has to be some kind of record!
(After shaking with laughter for a full five minutes):
ReplyDeleteI had an idea we could draw the UCO president into this conversation....... And in reply:
Yes, yes, O Magnificent One, it is obvious to your poor humble servant now. And what a FERTILE marriage, as the esteemed Randall points out.
But to the point: THE TREE STAYS! Pax Vobiscum!
Omigosh, I am only now getting the full thrust (excuse the expression) of Randall's planetary remark! It wasn't just the multiplicity..................
ReplyDeleteIt takes me awhile.
