I am one of the few lucky ones that got the validated ID some months back when they were doing them for a short time. The validated IDs have a hologram of a world on them. If your ID has the hologram, according to Joy in the ID office, a new ID is not needed. Just thought I could save a few people the trip with this little tidbit.
Obviously those who made up the schedule forgot that some of us are snowbirds.......e.g. my building is scheduled for July, when the majority will be up North. What should we do, wait till we return or get it done before leaving and what arrangements do we have to make if it is the latter???
This post about "validation" has taken me by complete surprise. I am a regulator contributor to this blog and have not seen a word about it before today. As linda99 correctly states many of us are snowbirds, some of whom have already departed CV for this year. I can only guess that former unit owners have been found continuing to use our facilities. Otherwise, what would the need for "validation" be? Is there some accommodation that can be carved out for folks who wish to get their cards validated and not have to wait till next year. Also, my brother just got a new resident ID within the last two weeks. Would that card already be validated??
