PLEASE POST A DAMAGE ASSESSMENT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who find themselves in the path of the hurricane. We hope all our neighbors in C.V. are safe and sound. If anyone has any information on storm damage at C.V. please let us know.
UCO is closed today. It is much easier and less time consuming for an association to call UCO on Monday if there are damages or post on this blog. We have over 300 associations. How long do you think it would take for someone to call all the associations. Days, I would think.
Hi all, On the surface, we here in CV were very lucky, no major damage observed. A few trees, branches were blown down; a few signs as well. The hidden issue of leaks, especially in Seasonal apartments that are not being checked could surface later. All in all we dodged a major bullet!
Glad to hear the Village made out so well on the whole. Yes, we did dodge a bullet. I think that car that smashed into a tree belongs to a couple from Canterbury K who are now in the hospital. I am not sure they drove last night, though. We made out well at Sheffield N. The power stayed on all during the storm. At 9:00 p.m. I switched from watching storm reports to watching one of my favorite channel 2 programs, "Murder in Paradise." A young detective, bumbling in all ways except solving crimes, solves a killing a week on a small Caribbean island. I watched it for 50 minutes, only in the last ten realizing I had seen the show before. Being so forgetful is kind of nice in a way. You get to enjoy a thing twice.
Perhaps a member of U.C.O. could use Association contact information to reach out to individual condominium Board members for an assessment.

ReplyDeleteHi grace. Are you onsite? If so, did you lose power? Any damage to your condo?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your condo-checker or your rental manager would be glad to give you all that info.

And we thank Mr Levy for building adorable condos (concrete bunkers) far enough away from the Atlantic.
ReplyDeleteIf only they had hurricane straps for roofs back then though.
