BROADBAND AND CABLE - COMCAST AND ATLANTIC BROADBAND - MARCH 29, 2017 - LIVE IN CYBERSPACE
Our cable/internet issue is thankfully being discussed over a lengthy period of time.
Thank you to everyone who is participating in this painstaking dialogue and contributing to discussions.
It is hoped that you continue to have an active role in the up-coming task to provide sound choices for the Delegate Assembly.
I have two questions: 1.) How many units, of the 7,854 units in Century Village, presently subscribe to some type of Comcast internet?
2.) What would the retail internet charge be (involving no discounts) for someone who was not on a bulk rate? For instance a customer on Meridian Road?
I tried to research this myself and Comcast wants me to call and pretend I am a new service customer to get the answer.
I have some positive input, but cannot provide it unless I have these figures available.
Additionally, I read that the top three most expensive operational expenses in the 2017-18 UCO budget, involving amenities are as follows:
Comcast Cable Contract: $37.14 per month per unit
Security Contract $14.91 per month per unit Transportation Contract: $10.21 per month per unit (2) Combined Totals $25.12
As I am sure, for those of you that have studied this, inside and out, already know, that the amount unit owner’s pay (per month,) for both security and transportation combined, is still significantly less than what we pay for cable. This illustrates what an expensive amenity cable is and how important this decision making process is.

very interesting video. I had learn that Comcast dont accept snowbirds to op-out so they will have have to pay the internet for 12 months. EWvem if it was not that in the proposition we voted last month. I have learn that Atlantic is more serious. they accept the snowbird to take internet the period they need. They also have done there work for Canadian TV (French and English). Get all that in written and i think we have a very superior deal!
