So, as I...Hi Helene,<br />This is a very scary question.<br />So, as I understand it, you had your elections for your Board of Directors, and then your new Board decided to have a secret meeting to elect Officers for the new Board of Directors!!<br /><br />Stated simply, No Good. The new Board could have held an immediate election by secret ballot in the presence of the Unit Owners. It is simple as that, and of course the Unit Owners may attend. <br /><br />There are very few situations where secret Board meetings are acceptable, usually revolving around certain legal activities.<br /><br />Finally, your Board needs to consult FS-718, or an Attorney to get direction as to how to conduct these meetings.
