I think I mentioned this on the blog before.

When I checked with local insurance agent Lex Barker, of First Integrity Insurance Agency (who sells Universal Property & Casualty among other companies), he told me to NOT SEND HIM the new mitigation report because it would result in a rate INCREASE for me. He said Universal (through him at any rate; he didn't say one way or the other about through other agents) was still accepting the old mitigation reports, and that the rate reduction was greater continuing with the old. He said this to me right off the bat without my even bringing up such a possibility. He had obviously already checked this out.

Lex did not say how long this might go on for, but he did say, when I put the question to him, that a NEW customer would have to provide the new mitigation report. I asked him if this staying with the old mitigation report was a case of letting sleeping dogs lie, and he said yes.

Whether a rate increase could result from providing the new mitigation forms for someone renewing with OTHER companies, I don't know. It might be something to keep in mind. All I know is that Lex volunteered this info about Universal, applicable at the moment.

I guess you can take it from there....Lanny Howehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03800939356809464020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6392307124116993389.post-59411449387123669982010-10-04T17:14:24.312-04:002010-10-04T17:14:24.312-04:00I have today, on behalf of our
