Very Interesting Bucket
Think this is a teenage great blue heron.
Catches fish that jumps out of bucket.
Fishy lump in throat!
I am aghast at the blatant mis-identification of the pictured avian species.
Clearly, this is an Andalusian Hemipode,(Turnix sylvatica sylvatica); it has yet to be transformed by it's cocoon state.
The most cursory research will reveal that fertilized eggs of this exotic species arrived in South Florida on the legs of the Bu-shoo bird some 50 years ago!
Please do your research prior to publishing egregiously erroneous data.
Elaine you take such interesting pictures!
ReplyDeleteElaine, great photography as usual. I love your choice of subjects.
