CV GOLF COURSE - OFFER FROM MR. KEVIN SWILL - MR. WALDMAN ARE YOU LISTENING
How can the Proactives say 'Mr. Swill offered to buy the Waldman property'. Clearly his suggestion is that Mr Waldman provide 1/3, and the Century Village Association (PRPC!) pay for 2/3 of the property AND renovate it up to golf course condition, wow! Much later, Mr Swill will TAKE 1/3 of the equity in return for his management skills. That is not just lose - lose, it is a triple lose in my opinion. Thank goodness the Proactives have recently re-organised as an outside Corporation and a Club (PRPC). Excellent, we are now clear that they have absolutely nothing to do with UCO. UCO provides services to the village – it does not have Delegate Assembly presentations by Clubhouse Clubs or outside Corporations. I know the Proactives will not 'get it' - golf fanaticism and $25K of OPM is heady stuff.
At seventy and with limited physical ability, I would definitely sign up as a member of our "renewed" golf course. Reflection Bay would bring us nothing but traffic congestion, noise, pollution, not to mention undesirables climbing over the fence to disrupt our serene way of life. Is this the environment you want to retire to? Think about it!
A "joint venture". Anyone who ventures to believe that this is a serious offer must be smokin a joint.
If you DO take this seriously and you are NOT treating yourself for glaucoma, consider my offer first: I want to buy a one third interest in your condo. My one third consists of my superior single unit management skills. I will clean and maintain your place. Your two thirds will be two thirds of the appraised value of your condo, in cash, to be used for renovations. I get to rent your condo to Canadians and keep the profit. We may have to give UCO a shmear, that could come out of my end.
I had a dream last night. Mr. Waldman was allowed to let the grass on his property grow high as long as he maintained a maze through it that our seniors could try to walk through to its end. If you went the correct way through the maze, at the end there was a miniature golf course, which was perfect for our aging golfers--no more hip and shoulder problems from "overdoing it." I am not sure who paid for the upkeep of the miniature golf course. Dreams are often unclear about such details. Everybody seemed to be happy with the arrangement, though, and the Ad Hoc Committee disbanded.
Who is this "association"? Is Mr. Swill proposing that UCO purchase the golf course? Forget about it.
ReplyDeleteHow much money is Mr. Swill offering to give Mr. Waldman for the property? Sounds like none.

After I read the letter and e-mail, I think we better be prepared to welcome our new neighbors at Reflection Bay in a year or so.
ReplyDeleteCould not make the letter larger to read it!
