WiFi At The Pools
Thanks, David, for the wonderful WiFi at the pools. What a pleasure to be able to take my tablet to the pool and check my Email. Can't wait to have it in the entire village. Keep up the good work!
I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I was having a problem with my e-mail yesterday and called AT@T about it. Their techs (I had to call twice) were excellent, fixing the e-mail problem but also fixing 2-3 other things. The tech told me I "ALREADY HAD WI-FI" and got my second computer, a PC laptop, and my Mac desktop computer hooked up for it. Apparently I am near someone or some thing in the Village, on whose Wi-Fi I can "piggyback"––just as those who live near the pools can sometimes piggyback onto the pool Wi-Fi setups.
This was good news for me. BUT IT IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR VILLAGE-WIDE WI-FI. A few people may not mind lugging their Wi-Fi's to a reception point such as the Clubhouse or the pools, but for most of us elderly in the Village (not to mention lazy like me), I am sure this would be a drag. I simply wouldn't do it. Only Wi-Fi in the home through Village-wide Wi-Fi, will make life easier––and cheaper--for us all. Then, no matter what our neighbor has, we will have our own reliable Wi-Fi.
That's how I see it, but I still don't know a whole lot about this business.
