Who can be a proxy?
- Can a board member (president) from another association serve as a proxy at our annual association meeting? That is ....have they the right to vote? Thank you.
under the Condo Act Section 718.112 only a unit owner in that Building can vote in the Board of Directors election.
Proxy holders cannot vote for the Board. However, a voting unit owner in the Building can give his proxy to anyone he pleases for purposes of voting on other issues (not the Board election).
Article II Section 4 of the UCO Model Document Bylaws lets anyone be a proxy holder.
