Four years ago, my husband and I rented for one winter at Andover M. We paid the $100.00 for abackground check. We paid a deposit and four months rent to CV Real Estate and at the end of our term, we went to either CV RE or WPRF ( do not remember which) to return our ID cards and approx one month later, received our deposit minus $50.00 cleaning fee. This was because both CV RE and Harvey Berloff, then President of Andover M, followed the rules and worked for the good of the unit owners and the association. It seems yo me that you can put all kinds of rules in effect, but if the unit owner or the association chooses to ignore those rules, there is not much that can be done. What can we do )and I do not have an answer) to insure greater cooperation.
Rental ID Deposit? Just another way to make renting a unit more difficult? If this is supposed to be directed at the idiot that that is trying to take over his building so he can have a hotel in CV, something else should be done instead of making it more difficult for the owners that have a couple of units to rent. Now they suffer as will the renter... whatever...
