REFLECTION BAY DEVELOPER PROPOSES CHAIN LINK FENCE AND LANDSCAPING ALONG PROPERTY LINE
It appears Reflection Bay gets the decorative landscaped side and we get chain link!
Google search finds in most places, civilization - A woven or cyclone type fence is not considered a decorative fence and is not allowed in any residential district.
Time to check PBC, ULDC, .. Article 7, Section 3 Walls & Fences
E. Chain Link Fences Chain link fences are prohibited in Incompatibility or R-O-W buffers unless vinyl coated. Vinyl coated chain link fences are only permitted in a R-O-W or Incompatibility buffer, when installed behind an opaque six foot high hedge, unless approved as a Type II Waiver. [Ord. 2007-001] [Ord. 2007-013] [Ord. 2016-016 That is as far as I got tonight.
See part 2 of blog for photos of code chain link. Water Co - CV side has hedge and crape myrtles. An actual decorative fence can be seen going north on Haverhill on the left. That one has a berm and hedge.
On the plus side, Reflection Bay and not Century Village is paying for the fence, and it is a 6-foot high fence, not a 4-foot high fence. Let's hope Reflection Bay will be a good neighbor, and that they in turn will find us a friendly neighbor.
Here comes Reflection Bay!
