JOINT MEETING OF BID, TRANSPORTATION AND OFFICER'S COMMITTEE - OCTOBER 20, 2016 - LIVE IN CYBERSPACE
Very lively discussion and wonderful points were generated. Thank you, to all the members on the committees, who take time out of their day, to give direction and make decisions to help drive the Century Village machine.
Hopefully, the card readers that are to be installed in the buses will be much superior to those that now exist at the security gates attempting to monitor pedestrian traffic.
I have two questions: If Transdev bus drivers belong to a labor union and that union were to go on strike, is there any language in the contract that states how monies would be or not be dispersed?
I believe some school districts train “substitutes” that fill in for striking bus employees. What is Transdev’s policy on substitute drivers in case of a strike?
The quality of the video production was very good. However, as in all meetings that are recording audio, those people sitting near certain microphones should stop their side discussions.
When side discussions occur, the listening audience cannot hear the person who has the floor, nor can the listening audience hear the side discussion itself, so the result is a garbled mess. Any points made by either of the parties that are speaking over one another are lost, and therefore have not reached the listening audience.
