BOIL WATER ALERT - SHEFFIELD C - J - MARCH 27, 2018
This notice says that only Sheffield C through J will be affected tomorrow (Tues.) between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. However, the channel 63 notice reads as though all the Sheffields will be affected. I tried calling the PBC water utilities number (740-4600), and got a recording, which did not mention a water outage in CV at all! I live in Sheffield N. What should I believe?
If the water is off in your building than boil the water.
If the water is not shut off, then it is fair to assume that you will not be affected by the water shut off process and you will not have to boil your water.
Well, the blog notice was right in that not all the Sheffields lost their water from 9 to 2, and channel 63 was wrong in saying that all the Sheffields would be affected. The only thing I noticed when I turned on the water to wash dishes around 11:00 was that the pressure seemed reduced. Then before I finished, the regular pressure seemed restored.

Hi Mike,
DeleteThere is not a lot of room for interpretation on this one, this is text from the PBCWUD. I pass it along as written.

ReplyDeleteHi Mike & Lanny,
ReplyDeleteYour messages are well taken about getting our "information" correct and consistent in all channels.
Thanks,
