NOT OUR CV SIGN, IT SEEMS.

I "borrowed" this cartoon from one of the other blogs to publicize the fact that the CV sign on the south side of the Haverhill Gate does NOT BELONG TO CV!  We lost it along with the closed Golf Course many years ago when a prior UCO administration (not the current one) would not take over the land when it was offered to CV (too expensive, the old UCO said).

So, the wall and sign belong to the future Reflection Bay development (aka the Waldmans).  So unless Mr. Waldman wants to pay for HIS CV SIGN to be fixed, then WE must pay for HIS SIGN to be fixed.

  1. I don't think it matters that Waldman isn't fixing the fence. I believe we should fix it. It looks like we are crumbling. We can always send him the bill for the repairs.

  2. I agree with you Grace, but we may be in the minority on this one.

  3. Am I wrong? As I went out the Haverhill gate a day or two ago, a SIGN for Century Village was on a white portion of the wall to the right, intact and readable. It was just BEYOND this that the brick portion of the wall had the gaping hole where the vehicle plowed into the wall. Agreed, this doesn't look good, but the damage doesn't appear to interfere with our sign.

  6. If the sign is intact and this side of the hole, seems as though that is all the more reason for Mr. Waldman to fix the hole. It's NOT then replacing our sign; it's patching the unsightly hole in HIS wall. Perhaps Mr. Waldman is waiting to collect from the person who damaged his wall. It would be nice if instead of waiting too long, he went ahead and repaired the wall, and then followed up with his claim against the responsible party. Maybe he'll do just that.
