UCO ELECTIONS

 -

UCO ELECTIONS- On Friday, March 5, elections for UCO Officers will be held at the Century Village Clubhouse,

from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM. The UCO Elections Committee has planned out a

safe, socially distanced event similar to the recent vaccination events.

A sample ballot will be published in the March edition of the UCO Reporter, to be delivered on 2/27.

As we all begin to recover from a year of reduced and suspended activity,

CV unit owners are encouraged to get re-involved with the management of our

Community, starting with the March UCO Elections. All CV Associations should

make sure that their Delegates attend this election,

and represent their Associations. We hope to see a strong turnout on 3/5.

It is anticipated that UCO Delegate Assemblies will resume in the near future,

subject to COVID-19 related conditions. As always, safety is our first concern.

COVID-19 INFECTION AT CV MEDICAL BUILDING BEAUTY SALON

The following is a statement from Ralph Resta, owner of Ralph Josephs Beauty Salon, located at the CV Medical Building:

“After a salon employee tested positive for the coronavirus, I had the salon treated with an ionizer for an hour, which kills all viruses, including COVID-19.  The infected staff member is quarantining at home.”

All other staff members have been tested; all results were negative. We will continue to disinfect and clean all areas of the salon between each client as well as perform temperature checks of all staff and clients.

At Ralph Josephs, our top priority is the health and safety of our clients and staff.”

E WASTE

During my many walks around the perimiter of our complex, I noticed many televisions alongside garbage dumpsters. If my reading of Palm Beach County rules is correct, E waste should be disposed at the recycling center off 45th street and not disposed of with household waste. Is this true? if so, does Century Village WPB have a drop off site for residents for subsequent pick up by the County? Or, is it ok to place with residential waste?
