DAN GLADSTONE NEE BARZILAI ACCUSES UCO OF "FORGING THE MARCH ELECTION"

 -

Below is an Email from Mr. Gladstone accusing UCO of "forging the election". Interesting, since the votes were counted by a professional firm, not by anyone in UCO. I have bolded the accusation. He also tried to make the accusation to the PBSO lieutenant at Delegate Assembly, the lieutenant did not seem impressed:

Mr. Israel.

The need and appointing members of the committees of UCO, is done by the chair of each committee. You the president, only appoint the chair of each committee.

I know for fact that each of the committee that I applied for, does need my services, you do not. At any case, I am going to be present at meetings as a guest, which can point out if I am needed or not.

After forging the March 2021 election, where you and your henchman tried again to use illegal means to keep me out, I am going to be very vocal, not like the pass 12 years.

Now, on a different tone, as if the top paragraphs do not exist, I talked to my lawyer yesterday. The result was surprising.

If you and Donald want to keep fighting, it is OK by me. There is no love lost among us. But if you want to take a different turn, keep UCO flourishing, my lawyer suggested a few things. Coming from him surprised me again.

A meeting of the three of us, or more if you wish, to present his ideas??!! I am open either way.

At this point, my aim is a better UCO.

Awaiting your reply.

  1. Clarification of three assertions in Mr. Gladstone's article.

    I. Mr. Gladstone's article: “The need and appointing members of the committees of UCO, is done by the chair of each committee. You the president, only appoint the chair of each committee.”

Clarification: Incorrect regarding three committees; misleading on all others.
    a. The Finance Committee chair is the Treasurer, elected by the Delegates, not appointed by the President.
    b. The Officers Committee members are elected by the Delegates, not appointed by the President.
    c. The Operations Committee is chaired by the President, as mandated by the Millennium Amendment to the Long Term Lease.
    d. All additional chairs require the “advice and consent” of the Officers Committee to the President's nomination.

II. Mr. Gladstone's article: “After forging the March 2021 election, where you and your henchman tried again to use illegal means to keep me out, I am going to be very vocal, not like the pass (sic) 12 years.” (boldface in original)

Clarification: The “ March 2021 election”
    (a) was held thirteen (13) months ago: Why protest it now?:
    (b) as with the March 2022 election just held, and in accordance with Bylaw IX (below) all elections are monitored and conducted by a professional third party, hired by the UCO Election Committee:

Bylaw Article IX: COMMITTEES. J. ELECTION COMMITTEE.
    1. The Election Committee shall be responsible to carry out the elections of UCO Officers
and Executive Board members. Paper ballot or electronic voting may be used as the
committee deems appropriate, with the advice and consent of the Officers Committee. An
independent third party shall count paper ballots.

The independent third party conducting the 2022 election was the Robert Half Agency:
“Robert Half, formally referred to as Robert Half International Inc., is a global human resource consulting firm based in Menlo Park, California founded in 1948. It is a member of the S&P 500, and is credited as being the world's first and largest accounting and finance staffing firm, with over 345 locations worldwide. Wikipedia

III. Mr. Gladstone's article: “where you and your henchman....”.

Clarification: No elected UCO incumbent – Officer or Board member – may serve on the Election Committee, either through appointment

BylawArticle IX, J, 2. “No Officer or member of the Executive Board or candidate for any such seat, or spouse or significant other, may be appointed to the Election Committee.”

    or ex officio:

Bylaw Article VIII, D: “EX-OFFICIO MEMBERSHIP IN COMMITTEES. An Officer shall be a member ex officio in all committees except for the Election Committee”
