GATE CRASHING

This case is somewhat unique in that the driver knocked off the gate arm, stopped to think about it a few seconds and then drove over it.

Please stop, wait for the arm to come down and then proceed slowly.

    I wonder why the guard didn`t go and stop the car. There was plenty of time before the car drove off. What was the guard doing?
