Water Intrusion Recovery

Hi All

I have contacted my HOMEOWNERS Insurance Company (State Farm) and obtained the list of companies they recommend for water emergencies. Accordingly I have posted this for all to see, because everyone should have, at their fingertips, A LIST of those companies their policy would approve of.

BE PREPARED - folk, it is just that easy. Remember, neither I, from the insurance committee, nor UCO are recommending the list that is attached - STATE FARM Insurance Company is. MAKE YOUR OWN list and BE PREPARED!!

PuroClean 2765 Vista Parkway, Ste H-7, West Palm Beach, FL 33411 561-775-2196

ServPro 117 Miller Way, Lake Park, Fl 336403 561-884-8784

Steam Master, West Palm Beach, FL 561-547-3390

ServiceMaster Royal Palm Beach, FL 561-242-2798

  2. Thanks Ed Good numbers to have ! Hope the two women that were at the delegate meeting and went up to the mic that kept on who to call for emergencies, read the blog, but I think they both were not for this blog. Their loss. Thanks again Ed !

  3. Hi Ed, You are suggesting we call our OWN insurance company and see whom they recommend. So we will individually be prepared. THANKS
    for the GREAT suggestion.

  4. Thanks, Ed. Sounds like a good idea. With State Farm, the agent represents only State Farm, doesn't he? So it is essentially one and the same to be contacting your agent or the company. But in some cases the agent is separate from the numerous companies he represents. Would one do better then to contact the company (because they're the ones who would be paying out), or the agent (with whom you're on friendly terms), or would it make little difference? Any advice either way?

It is always best to speak to the Insurance Company, but the call to either will gain better information than expecting a "pick" from the yellow pages to solve all problems.

    Be informed or be surprised!

The responsibility rests with the INSURED - the individual resident. Only they can recover "simply" when using an acceptable vendor authorized by their Company.

  6. Thanks Ed, I phoned my homeowners insurance, Allstate. They did not have official list except they said they like Servpro and Servicemasters. Eventually we can cross check and find the most preferred.
They also told me to call 1-800-ALLSTATE but that only resulted in a morass of menus and people who passed me along, they were supposed to call back with info- sometime!
