Wicca ( Since David I asked)
Wicca (pronounced [ˈwɪkə]) is a Neopagan religion and a form of modern witchcraft. It is often referred to as Witchcraft or the Craft[1] by its adherents, who are known as Wiccans or Witches. Its disputed origins lie in England in the early 20th century,[2] though it was first popularised during the 1950s by Gerald Gardner, a retired British civil servant, who at the time called it the "witch cult" and "witchcraft", and its adherents "the Wica".[3] From the 1960s the name of the religion was normalised to "Wicca".[4]
Wicca is typically a duotheistic religion, worshipping a Goddess and a God, who are traditionally viewed as the Triple Goddess and Horned God. These two deities are often viewed as being facets of a greater pantheistic Godhead, and as manifesting themselves as various polytheistic deities.

Hi Mike,
ReplyDeleteYes, I understand all of that; I was speaking of the comparison between the Wiccans and the Naturists actual presence here in CV, both figments of your imagination!
Dave Israel
Bravo David!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI too reached the same conclusion..
Hi Dave
ReplyDeleteAs before, just passing on info I heard at the Clubhouse Pool .Maybe it's the water that spawns these rumors. I for one think witchcraft would enhance the quality of life in CV and might even create an uptick in CV RE value. :)
Mike
Hi Dave,
ReplyDeleteMaybe the Reporter (that hot bed of yellow journalism )could send one of it's roving reports to investigate the Wiccan invasion of CV.
Mike
I think there should be no need for the Reporter to do investigation. Unless I'm mistaken, we have three Wiccans on the staff who could write a nice article. Would you like this front page or somewhere else in the paper, Mike? Would the Wiccan month of Johembre work?
ReplyDeleteHi Lanny ,
ReplyDeleteBeing Catholic, I know nothing of the Wicca. I'll leave the writing of the Wicca Article in your most capable hands. Who better to write it than a Wiccan himself. I was sad to hear the Goddess Elaine has departed your Coven.
Go for it Buddy.
Mike
Hi all,
ReplyDeleteMy God! who put the weed in the brownies!!!
Dave Israel
Hi Dave,
ReplyDeleteThe Goddess Elaine was cooking up something sweet yesterday morning while I was talking to her. I'm not saying she is the guilty person, just a place for you to start the investigation.
Mike
If one more person calls me a witch, I will fix him and his little dog too.
ReplyDeleteAnd here I thought you were a GODDESS
ReplyDeleteAre we in Kansas or what??
ReplyDeleteNext will we all be wearing garlic around out necks?
Just where are the brownies anyway?
