Hi,
ReplyDeleteRecent history suggests that you have it done by an electrician, replete with permits and according to code.
Dave Israel
Amen! Hire a licensed electrician.
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhhhhhhh ..... ok
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't fool around with electric. The wires in our buildings in Century Village are very old and made of aluminum. Always best to leave this kind of work to a professional licensed electrician.
ReplyDeletePleaes listen before you get a big punch from one of the wires.
I don't do house wires just spark plugs without the need of a licensed car mechanic :-) Any good handyman should not have an issue with ceiling fans but I most certainly understand being polically correct on a public blog site.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
You certainly can do as you wish, but that attitude has made a mess of many buildings at CV over the yearS.
ReplyDeleteYou are still dealing with the wiring even with spark plugs.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know a carpenter or handyman to put in an aluminum Jalousie Door?
ReplyDeleteI hear it only costs $12,000 with permits to install a Jalousie door using a licensed, bonded and insured general contractor.
ReplyDeleteonly 12K, thanks
ReplyDeleteIn 2004 I used Dixie Window and Door (DWD) so my door fit well and hung straight, other people who used handymen had wonky annoying doors forever. DWD and PBCPZ now recommend impact doors, you would have to call them for info. They said you would need a permission letter from your assoc to put in Jalousie door using DWD, glass jalousie is not the strongest choice.
ReplyDeletePS Its $1,100 or $1,200.00
Mine came with an Alum Jalousie door. My problem is I'm probebly going to have to run wiring to the center of each room ceiling for fans. What were they thinking when the place was constructed, I luv ceiling fans ..... especially here in Vegas,
