Car Wash Pad
I will apologize in advance if this subject has been covered in the past, but I was wondering if C.V. has a location with a spigot available for residents to wash their cars? For the time being, I am able to wash my car and would like to spare the expense of the car wash. Additionally, it seems the car wash scratches or damages something after each visit. If it is an issue of water conservation, could "gray" water be used?
Is there any prohibition of an individual condo making such an accommodation available?

Hi all,
ReplyDeleteThere is no UCO provided facility to wash vehicles.
Nothing prevents your Association from setting up such a facility, please observe any County imposed water restrictions.

I have my car for 3 years and wipe it down with a wet microfiber cloth with NO detergent, just water and dry it with another. If you keep it up at least once a week your car will stay clean. The cloths do not scratch your car. When I take it into the Hyundai dealer for maintenance, they wash the car as a courtesy and also detail it. It is true that most car washes scratch your car. The only way is to have a car wash that will do it by hand. I know there is a few around but it may cost a lot more.
ReplyDeleteMy car wash regime, is to run out between rain showers (or storms) swab the car with WashWax, rinse, and run back home. This week's weather is ideal. My car may not be the shiniest on the block but it is clean enough!
ReplyDeleteThis is all reminding me my car needs to be washed.
ReplyDeletedon't believe car washing should be allowed in village as all toxic contents of various car cleaners end up in our lake threatening wild life there. wiping down a wet car is fine but no cleaners etc. please...
