Gimme Green: Gimme Green is a humorous look at the American obsession
with the residential lawn and the effects it has on our environment, our
wallets and our outlook on life. From the limitless subdivisions of
Florida to sod farms in the arid southwest, Gimme Green peers behind the
curtain of the $40-billion industry that fuels our nation's largest
irrigated crop—the lawn.

My Association was thinking of buying new sod to replace our happy weeds (photos), maybe we should not. Click photos to enlarge.

  1. There will be landscape questions at the forum. e.g. How much of Rockefeller Ctr rents go to their landscaping? - 10%

  2. If that is your grass I would leave it for now. We have spots on our grass that has flowers growing and I think it looks quite nice. You know grass here is what we called Crab Grass up north. So flowers are pretty! When they mow the flowers go but they grow back.

  3. That is our 'grass' yesterday. We did not know what would happen in Winter but the weeds flourish wonderfully in the Winter.
