Manhattan Special

don4060, you must be Italian and from Brooklyn or Manhattan.  You're the first person I heard since we moved down 5 years ago from Brooklyn, NY that drinks Manhattan Specials.  I buy it every week at Joseph's Market  (Italian specialties) either on State Road 7, near Southern Blvd. or Military and Northlake.  My husband absolutely loves it.  It also tastes great with milk in it.  For those of you that don't know what it is, it's Italian expresso coffee soda.

    Kind of a once in a while thing. More enjoyable as an occasional treat.

    also if you put it in the freezer for a while and then scrape it with a fork it becomes a granata which is really refreshing.
