"Sheeple a portmanteau of "sheep" and "people", is a term in which people are likened to sheep, a herd animal. The term is used to describe those who voluntarily acquiesce to a suggestion without critical analysis or research. They undermine their own individuality and may willingly give up their rights."
We are brought here today by route circuitous due to the efforts of a small cabal of rabble rousers, malcontents, and meeting crashers, seeking to accomplish by other means that which they could not accomplish through the ballot box. They come to you with their acolytes and sycophants with the age old rallying cry "throw the bum out"!
What do they offer, what have they accomplished? Naught but noise, disruption, dissension and discontent!
Their petition of recall is populated with signatures, many of which are of dubious origin; some signatures are duplicated, some were signed on other documents and cut and pasted into text boxes on the petition, yet others were obtained by deceptive means, some are not even Delegates; and I have letters, published elswhere in this BLOG, from those who state that they did not know what they were signing; or thought they were signing something else, such as a petition regarding the golf course. Some signed "in the blind" at someone else's request. I believe that there is sufficient doubt about how the signatures were acquired, such that in a Court of Law, a judge would invalidate the Petition on its face.
What of the Statement of Charges; they display every type of flaw, they quote statutes in error, they are overbroad, and finally, some are simply irrelevant. This is not the first time in the history of UCO, that Recall procedures were invoked. In 2003, a Petition of Recall was brought against the then President, Vivian Walsh; in which actual Criminal offenses were alleged, allegations which would have been better taken to PBSO or the State Attorney. This recall hearing never happened. By contrast, my "offenses" speak to nebulous charges some of which refer to high levels of service to our Residents and Village. In any case, I have written an Affirmative Response to each and every one of the charges, which have been published elswhere on  this BLOG and also sent by Email to 700 Village addressees who have opted to receive electronic communication from UCO. These will also be presented to the UCO Reporter for Record.
So to this Board of Inquiry and the Delegate Assembly soon to follow, I respectively request that you not be Sheeple, consider the source and content of the petition, said content being utterly spurious and irrelevant, which even if proven true, would not rise to a level worthy of removal from office. I request that you recommend against removal!

  1. Not being familiar with the intricacies of VC and not having received updates on the status of the Clubhouse, I wonder if the Theater is a different entity and it has not been affected by the issue that has caused the closure of the Clubhouse.
Will the Board of Enquiry still convene on Feb 7 at 9:30am in the Theater as planned?

  2. Hi New to CV.
    February 6, 2013 at 7:03 PM,

The latest data from WPRF indicates that the Clubhouse is open now, and baring any new problems, will be open for the hearing tomorrow at 9:30am in the Theater.
