  1. Remember the last lawsuit that Myron Solomon got us into? That cost us all close to $700,000.

  2. Sad. They are relentlessly angry and destructive. The resounding vote against them last Friday proved that thinking people have had enough. If they are looking to be embarrassed by another failed attempt to disrupt this Village, we'll be happy to oblige with a No vote on a lawsuit or any other half-baked tactic they come up with.

  3. Hi Anita,
    February 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM,

Hmmm! how does one say "no" to a law suit, if he is the sue-ee?

  4. an act of civic cannibalism. when every other possible entity has been sued, the developer, the recreation company, the old golf course owner, the new golf course owner. when there is no one left to sue, the next step for the civic cannibal is to sue himself.

  5. and I can't wait until next Fall, when someone motions to add 99 cents into the UCO budget to fund the lawsuit against UCO.

  6. Hi Donald,
    February 18, 2013 at 10:10 PM,

My guess is that the Anti crew will conclave at the upcoming PUC meeting and beg all in attendance to contribute monies to fund the Karpf/Solomon suit!

  7. I'm getting a little bored with this road show and find myself turning the channel to other fare. It seems Messrs. Karpf and Solomon are only trying to dress up the old dog with new tricks, and the ploy is withering at the vine. Let it wither, I say, although I know Dave and UCO can't exactly do this.....

    Speak of mixed metaphors!

  8. It sounds like the principal actors ventured the filing fee and self-filed. They may or may not be sitting on the summons right now, and no attorney is listed on the parties list. Next step is to pitch the suit to like-minded people for legal funding. If that hurdle is cleared, time to shop for a lawyer and serve. After that, the thing can take on a life of its' own, funding-wise.

The key is to get hold of that initial funding to start the ball rolling, and to do it with other peoples' money. And, unfortunately, there is still a diminished supply of "other people".

  9. Hi Donald,
    February 19, 2013 at 10:45 AM,

I think you are spot on!

The Summons and complaint has yet to be served, and at todays meeting of Mr. Karpf's PUC group, before a robust crowd of about 15 persons; he remarked that "the complaint is not available yet"

This comment immediately following Mr. Grossman's offer to provide it to anyone who so desired.

Well, rest assured, when that S & C is served upon me, it will be uploaded to the Cloud and Emailed to 700 building Officers and Unit Owners.

Another comment by Mr Grossman was also recorded, "This is going to be very expensive"

    Absolutely incredible!!

  10. if someone asked me for money for a lawsuit, i would want to read the actual complaint first, to see exactly what I was being asked to support. if the complaint was "unavailable", I would wait.

The complaint certainly exists, because the cover and claim sheets have been filed, and summons issued to the plaintiff for service to the defendant. To claim that the complaint is "unavailable" sounds disingenuous to me. Of course it is available.

  11. What I want to say about these two I can't publish. They make me so mad wasting everyone's time. Watching everyone get upset is entertainment for them. I wish they would put their energy and time to something useful for CV instead of complaining. If they don't like it here, move!!!! The majority rules.

  12. Let's assume the trio wins the lawsuit and each unit owner gets $50 , UCO could then assess $50 to pay for the lawsuit. What a waste of energy !

  13. Less what the lawyers get!

The stooges various demands and recall confusion have already cost us a thousand here, another couple of thousand there. They are a menace. They complain constantly about rights - they do not understand that the bylaws are our rights. Yet they never submit a bylaw change.
