OLGA APPROVES SELECTION OF GLUSZAK FOR VP

UCO OFFICERS DID THE RIGHT THING.
-
David Israel gave the Officers of UCO
two choices to replace Barbara Cornish as Vice President; John
Gluszak and Ed Black. I am happy to say the officers of UCO did the
right thing in voting for John, who was next in line to secure the
position since he had the most votes behind Marcia Ziccardy, who was
elected Vice President.
-
The final vote to replace Barbara will
go before the Delegate Assembly, and I feel confident they will also
do the right thing.
-
Ed Black has been a thorn in my side
for the longest time. He barred my roofers from coming into the
village to repair my roof after the hurricane while he secured an
arrangement with HIS Chosen roofing company to enter the village and
replace the majority of roofs. As treasurer, he practically
bankrupted the village; However, David keeps him in the loop.
-
It was a relief for me to see the
officers do the right thing for a change and vote against David’s
protégé.

Hi all,
ReplyDeleteThe implications of this Post are ludicrous!
Let's start here:
"He barred my roofers from coming into the village to repair my roof after the hurricane"

The way things work Olga is that you call in your vendor, and guess what , in they come! No UCO Officer would interdict any Association vendor selection; nor do they have the power to do so!!
Greenbrier C, my Association, also required a new roof after the hurricane, and we used a vendor of our choice.
If your Association used any vendor other than your choice, that is your fault only!
As for Ed "bankrupting" UCO, that is absurd; in fact Ed's efforts in completing the paving project in one year, will, over the protracted long term save our unit owners upwards of one million dollars.
Clearly a constructive way to lead and do business!

Keep the copy coming Olga, you are really showing us!!
Olga, if you are not happy here at CV, you always have the option to move somewhere else. You say Ed Black has been a torn on your side. Have you fallen in a rose bush? Life is beautiful here at CV. After 15 years here, I wouldn't live anywhere else. Enjoy the sunrise and the beautiful scenery while you can. Life is too short to hold grudges.

Consistency requires you to be as ignorant today as you were a year ago.

Ed Black would have been my choice for VP for his knowledge and expertise.
ReplyDeleteI have never known a vendor to be denied access to CV when called in by the Association. Only those violating the rules and regulations of the community...for example, beginning work took early or working too late which would an annoyance to the residents, or soliciting business door-to-door....could possibly be turned away.

ReplyDeleteYou wrote on the Blog for me to
move back to Connecticut. I say
to you and your partner to move
thousands of miles away from the
best GATED CONDUCTED ASSOCIATION
IN WEST PALM BEACH CALLED CENTURY
VILLAGE WITH ONE OF THE BEST
PRESIDENT AND HIS BOARD.
I certainly wish John Gluszak well and hope he becomes a caring, effective vice president. The job is not an easy one.
ReplyDeleteAs for Ed Black, I don't know of anyone who has handled a greater variety of difficult tasks in the Village than he except for possibly Dave Israel himself in overseeing UCO operations. Ed has been not just a worker, but EXPERT in area after area, year after year, always filling a need and often a desperate one. He's been like a George Shultz, who held four different cabinet positions over a span of time extending from Nixon to Reagan.
I also wish John the best... I am sure he will be a productive member as an officer.
ReplyDeleteIn response to what Olga thinks, who cares. After her comment the other day at the Reporter office, in my opinion, a snake would have to strain to look low enough to find her. I apologize to everyone else, but she really made it personal and I now take pride in surpassing Ed as her newest thorn.
