100 BLOGGERS

-
ONE HUNDRED BLOGGERS
Have you ever been curious as to why the same people post on David Israel’s blog?  It is because his blog is limited to a membership of 100 and when this magic number has been reached you must send your post to David.
He will post it for you if he decides it is suitable. To think that a blog, which purports to represent 12,000 to 15,000 Century Village Residents, has a quota of 100 is absolutely insane.
This quota favors a small minority of David’s followers in which only their biased opinions are expressed and ultimately believed. It would be wise for you to keep this in mind when you are reading the trash from his troop.
Try to remember that many opinions expressed by his followers are not necessarily factual. In fact, many of their views are contemptible lies meant to confuse the residents. It is unfortunate that only a handful of residents can become licensed to control the voice of the blog.

  1. Hi all,

This Post states that I will Post material sent to me, "If I decide it is suitable"

The patent absurdity of that statement is proven by the fact that I published this utterly unsuitable submission from Olga.

As for characterizing other Posts in this BLOG as "contemptible lies", I shall leave the response to that nonsense to the other authors.

There is very little that is censored from this channel, "hate speech" "ethnic or religious slurs"...Etc. will of course not be tolerated.

but Olga's pearls of wisdom will always be published, so that others may see the zeitgeist of her world.

    Keep that copy coming Olga!

  3. Granted I have not been privy to all the posts and comments submitted to the Blog, but Dave and the other Blog administrators have all along been able to censor the kind of "hate speech, ethnic or religious slurs, etc." that Dave refers to above.

What is different? So far as I can see, the only two different things are: (1) if one of the 100, a person's unsuitable material might get on the Blog for a short while, until one of the administrators excised it, and (2) now that the 100 limit has been reached, posts and comments (or is it only posts?) by people new to the Blog are sent through Dave's e-mail.

It would be nice if a way could be found around this 100-person limit so more could be included, and I have heard this is being worked on. The 100-person limit, so far as I know, is not Dave's doing at all, and from everything I've seen Dave has bent over backwards to accommodate those who have had issues with him. To vilify him in the way you have, Olga, seems unfair to me. The plain fact is he has included a rash of stuff from you ever since you decided to become active on the Blog. And he has done this WITHOUT excising material from what you've submitted, I assume, because you haven't complained about this,

So why be so hard on Dave? We welcome you to the Blog, Olga, but we cannot help it if you are a latecomer to it. This Blog has been a wonderful forum for all who wanted to use it, and hopefully a way will be found the 100-person rule.

I have a half a mind to reserve a table for you and Dave, my treat, at a nice restaurant so you can enjoy a nice meal together with some pleasant conversation. You will find Dave has quite a sense of humor. This does NOT mean, however, you have to laugh at all his jokes. And if he starts in on the subject of edible purple birds, well, you have my permission to.....

  4. Hi Lanny,
    April 12, 2013 at 2:22 PM,

The 100 member limit, is a BLOGGER imposed cap.

Any text presented to me by Email from CV Residents is published verbatim with attribution.

  5. Olga, When you point your finger, there are four fingers pointed back at you.
Or, to put it another way, your claims against bloggers actually are very applicable to you.
The 100 author limit is the Blogspot Organization limit, not ours.
The first random 100 people who joined the Blog were not Dave's friends or troop, but have since found Dave to have unimpeachable integrity and to be a phenomenally terrific president. Thank goodness for Dave.

  6. Here we go again...if only Olga could open her eyes and take a look around... Just something else to complain about... Get your head out of your rear and take a look. You seem to have nothing better to do than attack anything connected with Dave. You've shown your true colors, especially when you came to the Reporter and spouted nothing but FILTH. Twenty years as a sailor and I never heard such filth. And I won't even mention your peace marching comment that truly showed what you are. You want to be a character assassin? Be prepared for the same.

  7. I totally agree with Elaine. I didn't even know Dave when I joined the Blog. I got to know him for the wonderful things he has done for CV. Remember Olga, nobody is perfect. He brought us into the 20th century with technology for the village. We need his expertise.

  8. Just the fact that Olga's rants get online for all to see is proof enough that this blog is run with integrity.
Oh, and just in case, so there is no confusion:
Integrity: 1. Firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values : incorruptibilty
    2. An unimpaired condition : soundness
    3. The quality or state of being complete or undivided : completeness
    (As defined in Merriam-Webster, m-w.com)

  9. CHOICES, CHOICES, CHOICES

Choices are what you make when you decide to start a blog with a limit 100 people.
    -
A blog which represents 12000 to 15000 residents should not have a quota of 100. It should be fairly accessible for any resident to express his or her opinion without censorship of his majesty, the blog meister; even when he claims to print our diversifying opinions we have no way or knowing whether his word is true or not; especially when he has been known to twist the truth.
    -
David Israel and his inane brand of sycophants rationalize that 100 is the limit for a blog which represents thousands and so be it.
    -
The heck with anyone who would like to become a member after the limit is reached.
    -
To the people who arrive late to join his blog, they say, too bad. Well, I don’t but this rationale.
    -
I am a strong believer of fair play for all, and if any one of you out there believes fairness is irrational; you should have your head examined.
    -
Lanny Howe would like to have David and I, sit down together, enjoy a nice meal and partake in some pleasant dinner conversation; he even half- hardly agreed to pay for it.
    -
Thank you Lanny, but the idea of breaking bread with the devil is repulsive to me. I will never sell my soul at any price, let alone the price of a meal.
    -
My principles and self-respect are not for sale.

  10. blogs are free. start your own. you can link it to this one if you like. or dont. its up to you.

It's the internet. nobody is in charge. and everybody is in charge. railing about censorship and information control is anachronistic, and reveals a lack of understanding of the medium.

Or, some people just like to stir the pot.

  11. I think it's just as well we go on to other matters.
