  1. I know we don't own the wall and there is code etc, but couldn't P.Burdick find a waiver + sweeetners to allow some barbed wire on wall. How bad does it have to get? too many 'no's'.

  2. A chain link fence on our side of the wall, linked with the Okee fence with barb wire top would do the trick- that is a weak spot that should have been addressed long ago. And cameras, obviously.

    CV is not a walled fortress, despite common perception and the new "Great Fence". There are lots of places where unauthorized entries can be made, but that corner is particularly vulnerable. Proximity to okeechobee blvd, low wall, visually screened back alley and half-vacant stores with back entrances facing the wall are all factors. No physical barrier or tech will stop a determined thief- the idea is just to slow him down and make him work harder.

    And no lock or fence or camera in the world will stop the rat bastard grandson who has his name on the permanent guest list and keys to snowbird grandma's condo.
