Will changes be made at this meeting or is this a done deal for the 2014 budget and an info only meeting?
ReplyDeleteFrankly I think the finance committee had a heal of a nerve putting the $1.00 into the budget for the Pro Act group after we voted it down at a delegates meeting. Don't these people listen to the delegates??? Maybe we need a new Finance Committee, people who will listen to the voice of the village.
ReplyDeleteI would urge all to vote NO on the Budget if any money is in the budget for PRO ACT. Now I'm sounding like OLGA . UGH!
ReplyDeletePreviously Dave Israel commented about PRPC $$. "Finally, keep in mind, what the Delegates give, the Delegates have the power to take away."
ReplyDeleteWhen, where, how, Dave??considering the Delegates have effectively voted against this 4 times what can we do other than vote against the whole budget?
Can the monies be revisited after the judges ruling in October?
Hi Elaine,
ReplyDeleteSeptember 5, 2013 at 10:04 AM,
The best place to impact the line items is, of course at the Finance Committee meetings.
However, the Delegates comprise our Board of Directors. If a motion is made and passed to remove a specific line item, it will be done.
What is infeasible of course is to rebuild dozens of line items at a meeting of hundreds of people,(Delegate Assembly) each with their own agenda.
Attend the Finance Committee meeting, and make your voice heard.

Due in fact to the perseverance of
ReplyDeletesome, the Entire Budget must be
REJECTED, unless of course the
Finance Committee, has a CHANGE
OF HEART..(From past experience,
past adminstrations - Officer's
in particular have) however, considering the "chosen few"
sitting on this committee, I have
my doubts. In addition the Legality of the preparation of this
may very well be challenged.
Hi BettieL,

The opinion of our Attorney Rod Tennyson exactly!

It's time to figure out how we can get rid of the members of the finance committe who voted to put the 94K golf course line in the budget. They have to GOOOOOOOOOOOO.
