THE SCAMMER'S ARE AT IT AGAIN...
My caller ID, identified an incoming call as "Unavailable" however, I did answer, was greeted
by 5 seconds of music, followed by a human male voice, deeply accented from some location
in India, stating he represented " Windows" and they became aware of several problems with
my computer......to which I replied "Stop the Scam" and he responded rather loudly,
"What ?"...I of course disconnected...Hopefully this will prevent someone for falling into
their evil hands.....in addition phone calls, from 561 ( WPB) service provided by company's
other than AT&T or Comcast, are as well appearing as "Unavailable" requesting you
Press 1 for English, or entering your card Number....the phone number's are
282-9921 & 633-6354 which I had blocked today from my AT&T Uverse acct.

Thanks for posting. I about had enough of these scammers. I just don't answer the phone when I see an unavailable number. Nobody will ever get information from me over the phone unless I am doing the calling. I don't care what they say.
ReplyDeleteI get these calls, as well but don't have Caller ID, so I answer. When I hear that my computer has problems, I tell the caller that I will have my tech take care of them -- and abruptly hang up.

ReplyDeleteYou three have no problem and get the scammer. I have a problem I'd like to get straightened out, but no scammer calls. Maybe we can get your scammer to fix my problem, or is this a failure of my logic again?
ReplyDeleteLanny: LOVE your sense of humor!
ReplyDeleteShall I pass your # along on my next
solicitation?
Er, no, Bettie, thanks anyway. I have a contract to get help from Best Buy's Geek Squad, so I think I'll use them.
