    How about a modern blog?

    How about a modern, unlimited member blog with RSS subscription so we can all see and comment on every post and you may subscribe to those posts that interest you.

    I know the present blogs represent a lot of work - and love - of many people including David - but it is time to modernize by:

    1. Detach the blog from the administration - everyone is encouraged to publish their comments.
    2. Accept all comments moderated by 3 individuals who aren't seen to "have an ax to grind"
    3. Use modern, unlimited software with automatic redistribution via e/mail to anyone who subscribes to the e/mail distribution services.
    4. Have a published acceptance/rejection policy: Accept no mail that insults, libels,or degrades any person or position - but take everything else. Publish a notice of rejection with an exerpted title and reason for rejection. In addition to the moderators have a panel (up to 10) who see and vote on questionable rejections (spam and obscene e/mail are just junked with the sender banned).

    Time to move forward - with WiFI under $20/month and "sharable" by 2 to 4 neighbors, there is a decreasing economic benefit to Village wide WiFi (valuable but less so), and an increasing value to a modern blog that can keep us all in touch.
