"SNOWBIRDS GET THE VOTE ON UCO BUDGET"
-
Is my Post title premature, perhaps but I hope not wishful thinking.
-
Tomorrow, a very important vote is on the Agenda; the Bylaw change if approved, will move the date for presentation and acceptance of the UCO budget from the current October, to January.
-
This simple act, will shift the debate and vote, to a time when the CV Seasonal Residents are present in force and may actively participate.
-
Such measures, to engage some 50% of our unit owners in very important business of our Village is long overdue!
-
Delegates, please give this Bylaw change serious thought coming up to our Friday Delegate Assembly meeting; and then, show up and vote.

As a snowbird I am very happy to see the date change. Looking forward to seeing everyone in November!
ReplyDeleteI just listened to Part 1 of the October 3 UCO Delegate meeting. As I said in my previous comment, I am very glad that snowbirds, like myself, will have a say in future budgets. However, can someone clearly explain how a fiscal year and a budget year are different. For example, at the beginning of each year, I might decide how to allocate my income, based on known factors for the coming year. (ex. can I afford a vacation; should I continue to be snow bird). I pay taxes no later than April 15, but that is based on my last year's income, expenses, budget etc) So how are budget and fiscal years different?
