CV ASSOCIATIONS REGISTERED WITH FCHR AS HOUSING FOR OLDER PERSONS - WITH EXPIRATION DATES

-
Thanks to Elaine Brown for hours of research on the Florida Commission on Human Relations (FCHR) Web Site:
-
http://fchr.state.fl.us/resources/55_housing
-
The last column in the charts below show your expiration date, and those Associations which have expired will have to renew with FCHR, your management company should help you to accomplish this. There is a fee of $20.00 every two years. It should be noted that some 150 Associations have either expired or are near expiration. Some Associations have actually dropped off  the FCHR Web site. Don't risk losing your status as Housing for Older Persons under the HOPA (Housing for Older Persons Act)! Check your Association and if expired, re-register today.

-
Finally, please note, following the charts below you will find a Renewal form.

  3. Kudos, Elaine
I do have a question however. Why would our Ass'n be on the list twice? We do owe to register
but not two times( Bedford D)

  4. Hi Ken, That is how the State lists you, try phoning them. I put an asterisk because of the anomaly. Try figuring out who was at the 2 addresses when registrations were made. The State list has a number of confusions, maybe they had budget and staff turmoil!

  5. OK Ekaine, we will try to fix it. 91 is the president and 99 is a rental. Go figure' Thanks ,
    Ken

  6. The reason for two listings is that the one had expired. When the renewal was sent. it was relisted as a new condo instead of a renewal and the old one is not old enough yet to disappear..
