April 1st, 2017

Sorry if I wasn't clear. The march on April 1st will start at 9AM in the Clubhouse party room,
first some breakfast, then a march around the periphery and back to the party room for an Open mike.
All are welcome.
Century Villagers cannot sit idly by and watch everything we have fought for for 50 years
disappear See the listing in the post before this one.

  1. I think it is wonderful to have a march..but it does seem like the Democrats are the ones supporting it. I didn't realise the Democratic party was a social club and not political!

  2. I urge all in the village to come eat a free democratic breakfast. If you feed them, they will come.

  3. I'm confused. Brian Mast, the ex-serviceman who walks on two prosthetic legs, is holding a Republican get-together in the Clubhouse, Classroom C at 11:00 a.m. on April 1, isn't he? Is this breakfast and march by a Democrat group on the same day, starting with the breakfast at 9:00 a.m., really mostly an opportunity to protest the Mast thing? If not, why do they overlap like this? The Mast thing came first if I recollect correctly (I may not). I won't be attending either thing, in part because I probably wouldn't anyway and in part because I may watch Phantom of the Opera (last performance) at the Kravis on the same day. But what gives with the two things? "Inquiring minds want to know"!

  4. Dear Lanny, actually the Alzheimer Walk was planned first, but the Alzheimer walkers and the Dems are agreed to walk together in peace and harmony and hope to raise $$$. I will post the Alzheimer info on the blog , they have been doing mailings previously. Your activity for them can be making a donation.

  5. There's a THIRD thing then, the Alzheimer Walk starting at 8:00, and all are the same morning?! This isn't an April Fool joke, is it? If I go to the Clubhouse, there isn't going to be a big banner there saying "APRIL FOOL! NO MARCH, NO WALK, NO BRIAN MAST!" is there? Yes,I'll donate to Alzheimer's. What is best way to do this, Elaine?

    1. Or worst of all, "NO BREAKFAST." Now THAT would be downright mean!
