There a few members of my board that might be interested, a firm date would help.

hope everyone understands that they have to be certified 90 days after their election to the board. They need to attend the class (highly recommended) or they can sign an affidavit stating that they have read and understand the Condominium Act (Chapter 718 of the Florida Statutes) AND Florida Administrative Code (Chapters 61B-15 Through 25, 45 and 50).
ReplyDeleteAs easy as it sounds to just sign a piece if paper, the wiser course would be to attend the classes and actually have an idea of what is right and what is wrong when it comes to an association. To be a legitimate board, all board members must comply.
If you have been certified and have no break in board membership, you are fine, although it still wouldn't hurt to take the class as a refresher.
If however, you had a break between board membership, you MUST be re-certified. After 90 days you just may find yourself not on the board.
