Hi all,
The following link leads to an in-depth Environmental assessment of the former golf course.

It is not know at this time what impact this report will have on the Reflection Bay development - if any.
It is possible that the Florida Department of Environment Protection may supervise the mitigation of the property.

This is the essence of the assessment (page 4 of Mr. Israel's posting)
ReplyDeleteBased on the assessment described herein, it appears the soil and groundwater qualities at the subject property have been impacted by its former use as a golf course. Out of a total of 222 soil samples analyzed for arsenic, the average arsenic concentration detected were 2.61mg/kg in the 0-1 foot depth interval, 2.50mg/kg in the 1- foot depth interval, and 2.3 mg/kg in the 2- foot depth interval are above the Residential SCTL of 2.1 mg/kg. In addition, arsenic was detected in the groundwater samples collected from MW-2, MW-5, and MW-6 at concentrations
exceeding the GCTL of 0.01 mg/L, but below the Natural Attenuation Default Concentration of 0.1 mg/L. No other exceedances of arsenic or pesticides and herbicides were detected.
(SCTL = Soil Cleanup Target Levels . GCTL = Groundwater Cleanup Target levels)
