In fact cars stropping where the shouldn't to take photos.
Actually a hazard. If they were sheriff's, how effective for law enforcement, can this mode of transport be in Century Village?

Hi Mike,
ReplyDeletePerhaps polo, or riding to hounds!!
Dave Israel
Funny, I thought saw a photo (must have been removed) of a man riding a horse for all he was worth. He had a short whip in his hand, and they were following a fox. The fox was looking back as if to say, "Whatsamatter with you, buddy, can't you catch me?" The man looked remarkably like Dave Israel, but I'm sure it was not.
ReplyDeleteHi Lanny,
DeleteYes indeed, here I am chasing the fox.
The photo has been replaced.

Ah yes, only this must have been a later photo taken when the fox ventured out on the playing field at the Polo Club. You are in full polo attire (a little leaner in those days, may I note?) from the game just played and had actually left the field and were in a wooded area with other players. You spotted the fox and with your fellow players gave chase. This takes place when Reynard made his clever u-turn (almost upsetting you off your horse) BACK onto the playing field, and you had so marvelously overtaken him. Reynard seems not all frightened of you, as if knowing all hostilities would cease in front of your admiring spectators.
Deletei kinda like the idea of having mounted police in the village...mind you, they can't chase down a car or have a light and siren, but it would give some of us free fertilizer for our gardens...
