  1. WHAT HAPPENED?
What's happened about turning in our old Comcast equipment? We had been told about several options: Call Comcast and they will pick it up; drop it in a Comcast "mailbox" outside of UCO; drop it off at the (now temporary, in the Clubhouse) Atlantic Broadband office on campus; drop it off at the Village Boulevard UPS Store; or bring it all the way to Comcast headquarters on Northpoint Boulevard, off of 45th Street.

Then (life is great!) we are given another option: when the AB tech finishes installing the new AB equipment, HE contacts Comcast, and a Comcast tech picks up the old Comcast equipment at our apartment. The last is how it worked out for me — smooth as silk except there was a mixup at Comcast headquarters about how much of the equipment they got. (They were going to bill me for a returned item. ONLY THE FACT THE COMCAST GUY GAVE ME A SIGNED & DATED RECEIPT COMPLETE WITH THE SERIAL NUMBERS OF THE RETURNED ITEMS RESOLVED THAT.) The AB and Comcast techs were as pleasant and as capable as could be.

Now suddenly the ONLY options are the above off-campus (least desirable) choices, bringing the old Comcast equipment to the UPS Store or bringing it to Comcast, on Northpoint Boulevard. To my mind, the Broadband Committee has done a fantastic job of getting us a second-to-none communications package. The above is NOT the end of the world, but what happened? Did somebody get mad at somebody else? Did having the several options overload Comcast's or AB's circuits?
