Key Fob Hacking

Today, I was in Publix near Andros Isle.  I always lock my car manually so no one can catch the signal of my key fob.   I got through with my shopping and used my key fob to open the doors so I can load my groceries.  There was a person that left before me and his car was parked right next to me.  When I finished putting my groceries in the car I brought down the trunk and immediately locked my car with the key fob.  When I got into the car I manually locked it but it unlocked 3 times.  I immediately got suspicious and held the lock down manually until I put my seat belt on and started the car.  Fortunately I was smart enough to catch this.  The man that was in the car next to me was looking at his phone or contraption that would catch the key fob signal.  He was lingering too long like he was waiting for me to make a move.

I am warning everyone to be aware of your surroundings and pay attention.  I can swear this guy was setting me up to rob me but it backfired.  I am from Brooklyn, New York and traveled for 30 years to work on the train and never let my guard down.  After retiring 13 years ago I still never let my guard down.
