Hello All- Here is update on Century Boulevard construction project:

- Engineer Derek Schenevar and Project Manager David Biggs of DKK Consulting inspected jobsite today, and consulted with General Contractor. Derek will provide written reports at end of each week for duration of project.

- Temporary pedestrian entrance was railed off, using re-purposed rails salvaged from south side of Century Boulevard.

- A lockable gate was installed at temporary pedestrian exit. This gate will be locked from 10:00 PM until 6:00 AM.

- Speed bumps along Avon Street were removed, to allow for wheelchairs, walkers, etc.

- Entrance to Century Boulevard from Borden Street was blocked off with barrels- jersey barriers will be installed tomorrow.

- Century Boulevard exit lane was closed, using temporary fences, barriers, barrels, and signage.

- Vehicle turnaround lane is being maintained at guardhouse, and is functioning adequately.

- Sidewalk and trees were removed between East Drive and Guardhouse.

- There were intermittent traffic backups at the Okeechobee Boulevard exit lane.

  1. To be clear: Pedestrians can now walk up Ascot from East Drive to Haverhill; through the "temporary pedestrian entrance " (the chain link fence has been opened; a paved sidewalk has been installed); press the traffic signal control button on the northwest corner on the Haverhill/Century Boulevard intersection; and cross to the synagogue. Given that the entrance lanes are still open (the exit lanes are closed), watch for cars using the turning lane into the Village.
