AN EMAIL FROM A WELL WISHER

One of the "joys" of being UCO President, is the rare occasional hate mail received from a Resident. Here is the latest example:

David:
It has come to my attention that the UCO auditor has resigned. Reason, they can't get the information to do their job. That is really sad. Evidently,  your ego to be a dictator of Century Village has taken another negative step.
Are looking to have your legacy in Century Village as the person that ruined UCO and ended up causing the hurt of so many? If not, take your head out of your ass and start to work with other people for the betterment of the community.
You failed as a leader of Greenbrier and residents of the 3 buildings laugh when your name comes up. People talk about you and your friend Phyllis as the two that had no idea what the heck they were doing. Is that how you want to be remembered as the President of UCO? As I see it, you have two choices. First is to become a team player and work to improve UCO. Second is to just resign and rot in your condo. There is a third  option that would be a disgrace for you. That is for the powers to be to move to have you removed from office. Personally,  that's what I would like to see. I'd love to see you removed and disgraced. Laughed at when you walk with you head down, almost hanging on that overgrown stomach that protrudes when you wobble across the parking lot to your car.
Well, I don't know about you, but I really feel great now!

  1. This is an ugly, sick, twisted personal attack. If you can't do better than a despicable, bitter and immature outpouring of hatred, then you should not embarrass yourself on a public forum. The past ten years of the Village as run by David Israel speak for themselves. You have just spoken for yourself. No contest.

  3. to the cold soul,accurate but I should have left out the fail stuff.
    To quote Theodore Roosevelt:
    “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”

  4. I have been a unit owner in Century Village since 1971 -- that's almost 49 years. I have been here during UCO administrations for 38 years, from its inception in 1982. I can say with all sincerity that Dave Israel is the best president that UCO has ever had. His dedication is unequalled and that includes my husband who was a past UCO president. if he were here today, I know he would concur. No one, but Dave, has given more to this community and you, the writer, who has attacked this dedicated man, should be the one hiding in disgrace and rotting in his condo....the one who wants all and gives nothing!

  7. Stop complaining, if you can do better, do it! David devotes most of his time in U C O for the good of the village. What have you done? He took us out of the stone age into the future. Nobody is perfect and he cannot please everyone.
