Click the title to read more: When I was a kid, I saw Lion Country Safari. I remember being told to keep the windows shut as the car went through uncaged animal territory. Now I hear the park will have suburban homes as neighbors. Of course, these homes will have to have lion-proof glass and safe passage from the living room to the garage.

Downtown is reorganized. You just missed some Friday jazz and the Buffett Tribute band yesterday (see picnickers) but there are lots of other shows, and a Space Exhibit for Dave.

The Palm Beach Photographic Ctr on Clematis (in new library bldg) is well worth a visit.
Currently shows 14th Annual INFOCUS Juried Exhibition featuring photographic and digital works by the Centre's members. From still life, portraiture, and nature photography to digital art, this exhibition showcases selected images by talented professional and amateur photographers. Sometimes Things Turn Out Surprisingly Well

Sometimes things turn out surprisingly well.

For the past week I have been uncertain what to do with 2 tickets to see Johnny Mathis at the Kravis last night.

I bought them last month before my girlfriend Fran took ill.

My choices were do nothing and take the loss of $104.00, find someone wanting to buy them,
take someone with me to see the show,
go to the show and see if I could find someone needing just one and using the other myself,
or sell both and go home.

I decided to go to the Kravis Center and see how things would turn out. I stood out front and repeatedly called out to people “ 2 tickets for tonight’s show, take one or take 2”. After about an hour I got little interest as most everyone had just what they needed. I thought the fact that the tickets were for the 3rd level above the Orchestra may have turned away the few that made any inquiry at all although I was prepared to negotiate the price.

About 15 minutes before showtime a couple stopped to ask what the tickets were. It turned out they had one but needed two. We agreed to make a swap of my two tickets 3 levels above the Orchestra for their one ticket In The Orchestra dead center, 6 rows from the stage.

I thoroughly enjoyed the show and bought Fran a CD.

OPERA APPRECIATION CLASS

We are most fortunate to have many talented residents in our community, who have
devoted a portion of their time, to enhancing the lives of others. Once such person
is Dr. Roni Klein, noted Musicologist, who not only conducts classes here in our
community, but elsewhere, such as CV Boca Raton, as well as lectures at various
Universities and Colleges throughout the North East,South Florida, the Society
of the Four Arts, and The Kravis Center. Roni,as she is affectionately known,
has conducted classes here for the past ll years..I have been one of her
students for the past 7 and would like to see more of our residents enjoying both her
personal knowlege of many of the performers, as well as the knowledge she acquired while a student at both Julliard School of Music in NYC and University of North Carolina.
Her program beginning this coming week - (Thursday 10:00M -Feb 18th ) and will
continue through until April, for which you can register with Courtney at the
ClubHouse, will include:

I urge all you Opera Lovers out there, as well as those, who perhaps never have had

enjoy this fabulous program, right in your own club House. The Fee is nominal...
