UCO TALENT SEARCH

Who wants to run CV? Come to the UCO office on West Drive to pick up a form and stake your claim. Deadline is January 4. Act fast!

    From your postings,I must conclude
    you are new to the Village..
    UCO's function is to bring issues to the Delegate's Assembly,for approval or denial, and then proceed as instructed by the delegates in attendance.
    Unfortunately all of the 309
    Associations are not involved
    in the decision making, as many have no representation or Board of
    Directors. I do know all of the
    past/current Officer's have encouraged each resident to become
    involved..no doubt this practice
    will continue.

  2. I thought you could be nominated from the floor of the delegate meeting..Our last meeting before elections would then be 2-5-2010?

    PLEASE clarify!

    You may indeed be nominated from the floor of the Delegate Assembly, during the February meeting. The following extract from the UCO Bylaws will elucidate:

    ARTICLE IX
    MEETINGS OF THE DELEGATE ASSEMBLY

    A. ANNUAL MEETINGS – The Delegate Assembly shall meet during February of each year for:
    -
    1. The report from the Search/Nominations Committee of the compiled list of ALL eligible nominees for the various offices and for the Executive Board.
    -
    2. Nominations from the floor may be made by a Delegate, and each nominee shall be accepted as a candidate, provided that:
    -
    a. The nomination is seconded by one (1) Delegate.
    -
    b. The nominee accepts the nomination and agrees to abide by the requirements for that position.
    -
    c. Any nominee who has already been nominated for another office or for Executive Board membership shall openly decline one nomination and elect to accept the other.
    -
    3. Such other business which may come before the meeting.
