BLOG OFFICIAL STATUS REPUDIATED BY UCO PRESIDENT

Hi All,
Fresh from todays Executive Board meeting; in a verbal screed, the President of UCO repudiated any connection between UCO and this BLOG. This unilateral action begs the question as to his authority to do so without advice and consent of the Officers of UCO; and for that matter The Delegate Assembly.

I am advised, not having been personally present, that your BLOGMEISTERS name was mentioned almost as many times as the word "bashing" was invoked.

So all users be advised and all Admins. be on notice as to the implications of this severance by ukase; there is an atmosphere of litigation in the air; and free speech is once again under attack, unless it be sweet and smarmy.

Comments implying that a halcyon patina should be the only offering of your BLOG are very unrealistic in the real world, where people have an absolute right to express their beliefs and opinions; both pleasant or critical as appropriate.

Perhaps it is time for MOJO and Anonymous Posting to return, as clearly the UCO seal must go; unless the other Officers of UCO weigh in and reverse this unilateral act.
Any Admin. wishing to be removed from Admin. status, please advise me by Email:

Your comments greatly appreciated.

AND: Remember this day when you vote in March!

  1. Time to excavate the minutes from the UCO Website/Blog start up meeting Oct 5, 2009, chaired I believe by Prez GL, where we were told how the new registered-posters-only site would show CV in a positive light and include info from the old website. The site has been controlled and occasionally corrected by UCO.
PS We were told the domain name for the old website was irretrievably lost and that site could not continue, it was not a Dave Israel choice. Dave shouldered much of the task of repair, rebuild and innovate.

  2. I'm not making a comment - just a curious question ---is it just co incidence that the editor of the Reporter and the pres of UCO have the same surname? there has to be a conflict there somewhere or I am Alice in wonderland

  4. It's one way of controling what goes into the Paper. Not sure if it's a conflict but quite effective at election time.

  5. My guess is there will never be peace with all the different ideas that everyone has, and what they think is right. I can only hope that some of the differences that go on with all the politics here it can be ironed out to make things improve here in the village! Through logic and reason! And put aside the egos, and the saga goes on lol.

  7. Thank goodness that we will be having elections in the near future. This site is the best thing that has happened in the Village. Dave, Elaine and all the others who work to make this blog what it is deserve a real round of applause. Heres to free speech and openness.

  8. Mike, The seal should be on this site since it was voted on by the officers of UCO as this blog to my understanding was to replace the old Q&A(without any cost to us)
Another way David Israel has saved us money..

Hi Barb, I know the why and how but it has not worked out as hoped for. The Blog is great for info but few UCO officers or people from the executive board contribute posts or answer posts. I thought this was one of the main reason for the Blog coming under the UCO seal. Dave created the BLOG because of GL and Carole's restricted operation of the old websites Q & A. I think the Blog should stand alone and UCO can set up their own website to advertise CVWPB. I know about the Domain Name and that stuff but UCO can afford a new one and the money to set up and run a site. Just one man's opinion, that and $2 will get you a cup of coffee

Isn't it great, not to be under highly restricted control. Thanks, Dave

  10. Hi Mike,

sorry buddy, but I had to tone your Comment down a bit, I removed one word.

It was a long struggle to bring this channel into a more liberal environment.
Let's work to keep it as a Forum for accurate reasonable discourse
