  1. I think he's Dave Israel, not "Israeli," but Mr. Amato did the wise thing. Now, if only CV will elect Dave...

  2. I believe you told yourself
    the truth after meeting with
Dave Israel and I thank you
    for being honest with yourself.

  3. Peter Amato had the self respect and wisdom to meet Dave, acknowledge Dave's platform and wisely withdraw. Kudos to him for that. on to victory! I read the Reporter from top to bottom, front to back and only hope all those whining about cable will take the time to read Dave's column.

  4. Perhaps Peter Amato realized if he
became President, it would be a
    conflict of interest, considering
he is affliated with the "Good Guys" ( whether he is the proprietor, or not, is inmaterial)
However, in my opinion, he did the
    correct thing, by withdrawing and
    offering his support of Dave.

  5. I agree with the previous posts.

    Good job Peter!

I have only one question at this point in time. Why is the price for your water heater installion $595, as advertised in this month's Advocate, and $649 in this month's UCO Reporter? Both advertisements are identical. Are the water heaters identical as well?

I bet the first question asked on the phone must be, "Where did to read about my advetisement?" (You wouldn't know which price to quote unless you had such information)
I hope you are not attempting to recoup your Political Advertisement Expenses off the backs of Century Village residents. I may begin to think that your candidacy was in part motivated by the likelihood of generating more business.
I do apologize in advance in the event that this was not even a minor motivating factor in your declared candidacy for President. But, look at the publicity recieved by "Joe the Plumber" (A.K.A. Sam Wurzelbacher, as Joe's family and friends know him),who gained significant attention during the 2008U.S. presidential election.

Anyway, you did the right thing by removing yourself from presidential candidacy of UCO. Great business decision all around!

  6. Randall, you have a sense of humor.

If I could venture a guess for the two prices: The $595 is Mr. Amato's regular price. The $649 becomes the price when he has promised a $50 (rounded off) kickback to someone who would recommend him, as he offered me a couple of years ago. He just got a little mixed up in advertising both prices.

But I too applaud Peter Amato's stepping down; and even more so, his recognition that Dave Israel is NOT tarnished as are some others in UCO and would be an excellent UCO president. Good for you, Peter.
